Adrift

Another morning,
And I’m lying here wondering,
Thinking about what lies ahead.
Tired of questions,
And unknown confessions,
Adrift in the sea of the dead.

I found a place,
And I’m never leaving.
Peace and tranquility can thrive.
Torture their souls,
And I’ve seen you do it.
Death and destruction you contrive.

Another evening,
And I’m sitting here wondering,
Trying to free thoughts from my head.
Tired of answers,
And your plans laced with cancers,
Adrift in the sea of the dead.
